RAYMOND WEIL International Photography Competition
After several weeks of suspense, the names of the winners of the 2011 edition of the RAYMOND WEIL International Photography Competition have been announced today!
This year, four different prizes were awarded:
- The International Grand Prize, awarded by an international jury composed of photography professionals.
- Three Public’s Choice Awards (one for a contestant from the Americas, a second for the Europe & Africa region, and a third for the Asia region), elected by our Facebook and Weibo fans among 30 contestants.
The International grand Prize was awarded to Mathieu Bernard-Reymond from Switzerland. This photographer has seduced the jury with his original approach and concept. The awarded work puts into question the solidity and the permanence of our relationship to economics, landscape and history. The artist will be given USD 10.000, and will have the opportunity to exhibit in a recognised art gallery as well as on the RAYMOND WEIL booth during the Baselworld 2012 fair. Furthermore, RAYMOND WEIL will support this artist by communicating on our website and on social medias.
The three Public’s Choice Awards were presented to Omar Gámez from Mexico, Silvia Pogoda from Slovakia and Yuan Weifa from China. They will each be given a USD 1.500 prize and will have the opportunity to exhibit the awarded picture in a RAYMOND WEIL boutique. They will also benefit from RAYMOND WEIL’s support through communications on our website and on social medias.
Congratulations to all four winners!
