RAYMOND WEIL, the luxury Swiss watchmaker, today announces that it is to continue in its role as the Official Watch & Timing Partner to the Classic BRIT Awards 2013, the UK’s most prestigious Classic Awards ceremony that each year honors the very best of talent within the classical music scene, who will all come together at The Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 2 October 2013.

Now in its 14th year, the Classic BRIT Awards has played a major role in supporting and nurturing talent in both all types of musical talent and styles within the classical world. The event was established in 2000 to honor and recognize all forms of classical music from contemporary to crossover, opera to soundtracks, traditional to theatre.

This years’ partnership will once again see RAYMOND WEIL create two unique limited edition timepieces that will be launched on 17 September and that will be presented to all key performers, presenters and key guests backstage at the awards ceremony at The Royal Albert Hall.

Myleene Klass has been confirmed to present the event, which will include performances from the world’s most successful contemporary classical pianists, Lang Lang and Ludovico Einaudi, and Australian saxophonist Amy Dickson. The London Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Warren Green, will accompany the evening’s performances.

“We are very pleased to continue our partnership with the Classic BRIT Awards, for not only their association with the arts but for the unique way the awards ceremony celebrates both core and crossover classical music. This year, the Classical BRIT Awards is even more special to us due to our partnership with the venue for the ceremony, The Royal Albert Hall. Coming from a true classical music loving family, we can appreciate the overall experience of the event and cannot wait to share it with our customers.”Says Elie Bernheim, Director – RAYMOND WEIL.

In 2012, the Classic BRIT Awards recognized the extraordinary talent of 20 year-old pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, violinist Nicola Benedetti, classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić and conductor Vasily Patrenko as well as legendary film composer John Williams, tenor Andrea Bocelli and the phenomenally successful live performances and sales of André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra.
